I just wanted to share a bit of information for fellow and future chicken owners in my town.

While this information is true, it is not applicable to someone raising chickens for personal use. The ordinance listed on this page is in regards to keeping livestock for educational purposes, not personal reasons. So, if you were a kid keeping chickens as a 4H or FFA project, then you would follow these guidelines.
However, for the family that just wants eggs, the only consideration is noise and odor. The City responded to an inquiry regarding chickens and stated that chickens are allowed for personal use, and there are no restrictions on number of them kept.
