Anything new on Lakenvelders? Mine are still laying here and there.
I've taken over the Godlen LAkenvelders from my dad, and they are laying a little here and there. Yesterday I got 1 egg from them and today I got 2 eggs from them, there are 7 hens altogether. I have 3 Silver hens.

Ok so I am accidently new to Lakenvelders as one came with my cochins lol. So lots of questions... Are they flighty,aggressive, good egg layers, color/size eggs??? Ok I know nothing about them except they are very cute babies Feed store chick not from breeder. thanks

can be very flightly mess with the chick alot. they lay white eggs of medium size frairly well is yours a sliver or golden??

Mine is a silver seems to be boss chick but is definitely not a roo, which is good Since it's the favorite chick of the kids she gets haddled alot.

So how are all the Lakenvelders doing ? I noticed this thread doesn't get much attention. I added 3 more Lakenvelders to my flock this week. I now have 2 Silver Lakenvelders and 2 Golden Lakenvelders.

And my 15 week old Silver Lakenvelder named Moon. In this pic she's 12 weeks old, I have my batteries charging so I can take a new pic.

Mine are all gone now, what didn;t wind up dying I sold off the rest.
These are just too flighty for me.

Looks like a Roo to me. My female is now 16 weeks old and has no comb yet.

That's what I thought also Bummer I think I got a batch of roos, thanks for the quick response
