(The size of the power affects her energy level, but not any more then whomever she's using the power from. She's been using her power for a long time, she's not some newbie whos just getting started. It took a lot of practice and effort. I'm assuming that the temp drop is pretty insignificant compare to the rest of Gina's powers. It wouldn't have taken very much effort on Kate's part to counter what Gina did, so Kate wouldn't really have been affected.)

(True, considering that Gina can pretty much control the entire climate; though it sucks her energy out a lot when she does drastic changes so she doesn't do it even in life or death situations. I was just saying that Kate is fine with the powers that she has, just that she couldn't be able to magically be able to take away or strengthen powers and get off scot free with no penalty.)
 
(She doesn't have another power though, that is her power. If she can't draw from someone else nearby, she doesn't have a power to use. The amount of energy it takes from her would be the same amount it takes from Gina or whomever else. So if Gina lost say 50% of her energy if she made the earth spin the other way, Kate was lose 50% of her energy if she used Gina's power to do the same thing)
