Hey guys! This is my second set of spring EE chicks. Last batch was ALL males, so I am really hoping that at least two of these are pullets.

I feel pretty confident that the darkest one is a male (based on comb color and size). The lightest color one I feel is a pullet, but the last one (my cuddler) has a TON of red showing up, and I have heard this is a marker for male.

What do you all think?!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

The first one looks like a male to me, lots of blotches and the red on the wings. Not completely sure on the darkest one, but the light one looks to be a little girl. The salmon colored breast is a good indicator. I used to have a little EE that looked a lot like her until a stinkin' fox got her.

I really want the first one to be a girl. Its so sweet and I am already attached to the one roo I kept from the last batch. :(

Whelp, maybe its time to add another coop and run to my property? You know since I have all of 4 chickens at the moment. LOL!

I do have an order coming from Smith for straight run Ameracanas!! I can't wait. Hope I don't get all roos again! Eeeeee!

I lost one of my Roos to a hawk last week. They were out all of ten mins and well under the brush and trees but the hawk still got my poor black roo. :(

No more free ranging until they are fully grown and even them probably not without a Corgi escort. My corgis just love the "babies" and stand guard over them. :)

Btw thanks guys for comments!

What would help on judging the dark brown one's gender?

Kika looks to be the only pullet. slight chance on Tamarind, i have seen one dark like that turn out to be pullet. a few more weeks to be sure.
