Husband forgot I was incubating eggs and turned the heater on I woke up at 4am feeling hot, i got up to check the incubator and temperature was 106 degrees Fahrenheit! I may have lost those closest to the heat source I'll candle again in three days

Question: What should be the first day to candle? Should it be completely dark when I do it? TIA

I'm impatient and candle on day 4 but most recommend candling on day 7 or 10. Candling when it's completely dark definitely helps.

I definitely candled on day 3... And now I am impatiently waiting until day 7! Haha. SO tempted to try again tonight (day 5) to see if I can see anything vascular... But I don't want to over handle my babies!

That's a good idea to hold off I only check mine once around day 10! When I was younger I candles them too often and had poor outcomes

I'm doing my best to wait until day 10. Tomorrow is day 3. Curiosity is getting the best of me
