Tomorrow is Day 18 and the final candling!! I think regardless of what I see, all eggs will be going into lockdown. They were all definitely alive 3 days ago at the last candling, they deserve a chance and even if they are/look dead at this final one, they won't have had much time to rot.

I am so so stressed right now, it's insane. My mind is only on these lil potential chicks. I did candle, saw movement in 9 out of the 11 eggs, two (A4, B1) I'm pretty sure are dead but I'm still hesitating on getting rid of them just because I'm afraid to do anything wrong at this point. Please tell me your thoughts if you think any of the others look weird/suspicious. I'm super worried because it was hard to get back up to temp after adding water for upping humidity and candling, and now my cheap hygrometers are not being reliable so I have no real way to tell the actual temperature. I really really want at least one chick to hatch, I feel like I might have hurt my chances right when I prepared the incubator for lockdown....

HELP Bumping this thread because I'd really appreciate some input- do my eggs (excluding A4 and B1) look right for lockdown? Do you think they have a chance if incubator temp dipped for a couple hours to 97? Any input on how to complete this hatch with some level of success will be appreciated.

Reading is different than doing and I feel stressed. It's Day 19 now, I haven't seen anything happen in there yet, I know it's a guessing game as to when they'll hatch but I could use some reassurance/advice/etc.

So I came home from work and A2, A5, and A6 are working on cracking through their shells! A5 has made a hole, A2 and A6 aren't quite there yet. Fingers crossed!

We have hatchlings! I woke up this morning to one mostly dried off baby chick (A6) and one just finishing hatching (A2). Woohoo! The pips are progressing on the other eggs I've noticed so far (A1, A2, A5, A7) and I haven't yet noticed anything on the other eggs but that doesn't mean things aren't happening!
