We're thrilled to share our first-ever hatch with you! Tonight, we've set 7 beautiful Silver Bielefelder eggs from GreenFire Farms in our incubator, and the excitement is palpable.

As beginners, we're eager to learn and share in this journey with the amazing community here at BackYardChickens.com. We may be new to this, but our enthusiasm knows no bounds. We're here to learn, to share, and to celebrate each milestone along the way. Whether it's the first crack of a shell or the triumphant chirps of newly hatched chicks, we're ready to embrace it all.

While our incubator takes care of the technicalities, we're eagerly watching over our eggs, marveling at the miracle of life.

Join us as we celebrate each milestone and eagerly await the arrival of our new feathered friends. Stay tuned for updates and plenty of excitement!

The eggs come from two Greenfire Farms Hens. We've added the numbers 1-7 to keep tabs on progress. We are using a Nurture Right 360 Incubator. We are hoping for chicks around 25 Mar 2024.

So far, the incubator seems to be doing it's job rotating on time and keeping an even temp and humidity.

We recently acquired six Silver Bielefelder hatching eggs from the GreenFire Farms on March 4, 2024. Their generosity surprised us with a 7th egg "just in case." On March 11, 2024, we conducted our inaugural candling session.

Venturing into egg incubation for the first time, our excitement knows no bounds! Regrettably, egg number 4 shows no signs of development, but the remainder are progressing splendidly (as far as my uninitiated eye can tell).

Our tool of choice for this incubation journey is the Nurture Right 360 Incubator. Thus far, it has proven reliable in its management of both temperature and humidity levels. Stay tuned as we eagerly await the hatching of our precious eggs!

What do you guys see? Are we right in thinking we have 6 future chicks, so far?

So, it's time for our day 14 candling video. We are using the Nurture Right 360 Incubator to incubate, but the candling is being done on top of one that we got off Amazon that has a built in light. At the time, that incubator was in lockdown saving some eggs a hen had to abandon in a staggered hatch.

We may have lost one egg, I believe. And one appears to be a non-starter. What do you think about the other eggs? There is some background chatter, please excuse it. At least I edited out kids cussing in the background! LOL!

Thanks for your input!
