lay eggs down or leave em standing

in the last 3 days of hatching is it better to take quail eggs out of their trays and lay flat or better to leave them standing during hatch? thanks

As far as I know eggs should be incubated and hatched laying down. I mean, think of a hen in nature...

yes but i also heard that they stand a better chance of drownding when layed down.

I would lay them down, they will not drown if your humidity is not too high, but if it is they will still drown upright too, chicks have a harder time hatching from eggs that are left upright imo though I know lots of people hatch this way as have I, but I prefer the natural way
