Lazy Leg

Could be a hip fracture or dislocation if he is showing pain when you touch hip area. keep him confined, keep food within easy reach so he does not have to walk far. Do not put any roost in cage, but place towels in bottom of cage for traction. If he is sitting funny or to the side, try rolling a towel up into a donut shape and placing him in the middle, this should help take some pressure off hip.

For pain management he can have an aspirin, either a low dose 81mg or a reg 325mg,dose is 25mg per lb of body weight, dissolve in a bit of water(make into a watery slurry)and give to him to drink or wrap in a piece of meat or cheese and give orally or dissolve one 325mg aspirin in one gallon of water.

Hip injuries can take a long time to heal,so do not get discouraged. Dislocated hip or fracture is very difficult to wrap,so just leave it alone. If it were to be a leg fracture then it can be splinted, but if it has already been a couple of days bones will already have started fusing in the position they are now in.
