Leg bands... can't decide between 2 options... any experience?

The bandettes are what almost bought, I really like the idea of them. But I found a few people who said their birds would loose the bands if they free ranged with trees and branches and such, which mine do. I also had the concern that I have difference sized breeds, requiring a few different sized bands.. which is what led me to these options. I'll follow up after I have them on the girls if you are interested...

Do you have any problems loosing the bandettes?

I've used them on a couple of hens in my free-ranging flock. Some hens have worn a bandette for 2+ years, and so far they haven't come off. They free range in a variety of habitat types (lawn, old field, pines, shrubs & hardwood trees), so they're around some fallen branches but not lots of them. I like that I can see the number on the band when I'm 5-10 feet away from a hen.

I'd love to hear how the red aluminum bands work out for you over time.
