Lethargic Chicken?

Hey, we have had a similar thing happen. Is her posture out of the norm? Is she underweight?

I don’t know about her weight, but her posture is okay and she’s eating for the most part. She’s mostly just slower and sits down more often. I will say she’s more lively today, but definitely not better. I put about half a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in her 1.5 quart waterer. She’s in a separate coop today.

Do you have yogurt? Epsom salt? Can giver her an Epsom salt bath? Feed her cleaned crushed crushed egg shells.

My hen was acting like that when she was eggbound I gave her a bath a massage and put oil around the inside of her vent. She recovered! I also feed all my chickens the tops of strawberries so I’m not sure if that would cause her to get sick? but I’m not really sure. I really hope she recovers!!!

Strawberry tops wouldn't hurt them.

I’ll try that. I have the Oikos protein yogurt and a little bit of ebsom salt. I also have oyster shell rocks, would that do the same thing as egg shells?

If she eats it, yes, but you can mix the shells into yogurt and then give her a bath.

She’s doing okay. It looks like she’s trying to lay an egg right now.
