I agree with Kristy. There is something heroic about the games, and I enjoyed the opening ceremony. The bit of history was fascinating, and I like the sort of fantastical feeling.
Thaiturkey, they did include a modern era love story, which was thoughtful to include all three. Sure, Beijing was really cool, but I liked the story in London's.
Gymnastics is my favorite (probably because I wish I could do it), but I also like diving and untelevised events, like archery, canoeing, and equestrian.
