the Cuckoo Maran stopped for about 6 weeks because of an illness, but you can see she's back at it again. I think she lays 2 out of every 3 days. The Leghorn, and the Black Sex Link, however, lay very nearly every day with very few 'off' days. I have 2 dozen eggs in the fridge now!!!! And am starting to think of ways to use them, or people I can bless with a half-dozen fresh eggs. So yes, sometimes I *do* get 3 eggs a day, and have a dozen eggs in 4 days. But the Cuckoo Maran takes days off and I don't have quite so even a design in my carton.
