"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Easier to get forgiveness than permission, especially if you have good fences. Don't get a roo and they won't bother anyone. I live out in the country, so don't have to worry.
dozen Black australorps, couple buff orp's, couple Aracauna, Brown Leghorn roo, few Muscovies, etc.

Livingston, here! (smack between B.R. and Hammond)
I've been keeping laying hens for about 9 years. I've lost count of how many we have, now. We just got into meat chickens, too. Very interesting.

Hi all.. I'm outside Krotz Springs(Between BR and Opelousas.

I started building my new coop today, Going to be a 8x8 house with a 10x25 run. Plan on getting about 4-6 hens for eggs(white preferably..per wife and son;))

Any suggestions on what breeds I should look for in our heat?
I really like the look of Brabanters so, I hope to get 2 of those(no matter the egg color
