Love seeing all you guys coops, ids made me want 2 make a new/better one. I'm moving home in a couple weeks once I'm settled let the DIY commence. =)

I like to repurpose things. I took a lil tykes playhouse and made it into a coop. Rot resistant.. waterproof.. and a conversation piece when others see it for the first time. Of course I could have just used plywood and slapped together an outhouse resembling thing. Much faster. But that would take away from my pride. LOL LOL Inside I used real tree branches to give my girls that in the tree feeling. There is not another IDENTICAL IN ALL RESPECT worldwide. =D=D=D. Base is a repurposed concrete slab that came from an old sidewalk. It was a pistol hauling it. but its here to stay.

Ha ha I love it very clever, I'd of never thought of a playhouse one of a kind.
Wonder how my children would feel if I turned their playhouse into the new coop lol

When your children outgrow it. Then is the ripe time to repurpose it.
