I've had one little Maran hatch, and all else is quiet. The waiting for the other thirtynine is killing me LOL.

I am seeing pips. Guess I had better warm up the brooder,
and get my camera ready.

Which reminds me, I need to build one today. [Brooder, I have a camera.]

I've been brooding them in wire cages in the house, but noticed a bit of a odor coming from that room lately.

I have chicks! SCG, those two dark brown eggs have hatched! Two little grey/black chicks. Most of the rest of your eggs are pipping! I have one pip in the styrobator now.

Those should be some nice olive eggers. Hope you enjoy them. You can always shave their necks.

I have my first zipping egg. It is one of my Ameraucana eggs. It looks like it might be a splash! I am so stoked!

ah, speaking of coffee, Mahonri you would be so proud of me! since reading that you have never hada ny caffeine, and reading a little for a class i am taking, i have been working on cutting back on my caffeine intake. down to just one cup of coffee in the morning...down from a bazillion and 2 every day!
