Mallard question... eggs/broody

My mallard has been making a new nest, and I've seen her at least once in the last week, hanging out with a wild man mallard. Yesterday there were 6 eggs in the nest, today she actually SAT, and hasn't gotten up. What are the chances that the eggs are fertile/going to hatch, and do you think there are six? or maybe she laid another one this morning before she SAT. what do you think?

Chances are pretty good. You can always candle the eggs after a week or so to be sure.

I am NOT going to mess with this nest. I messed with the last one, and she gave up. I'll just trust in God and ducks, and wait patiently, hoping for tiny fuzzy ducklings!!! Although the timing will place the hatching right in the middle of my husbands leave time... he doesn't really like ducks so much...
