Mallards finally resumed laying! Maybe spring is approaching!

I have a variety of duck breeds, including a couple mallards from a hatchery (so domestic, not wild). The mallards stopped laying probably back in October - It's been a while, I don't really remember. But I came out to the coop and found two green little mallard eggs this morning! I'm so excited! Hopefully this means the rest of my ducks will resume laying soon too. I've been averaging about 3 eggs a day in February, up from 1-2 in Dec/Jan. But have 15 ladies... so should be more coming! Spring is coming!

I hope you're right! I've found three duck eggs in the last three days. We have rain and more rain and cold.

We’ve gotten zero all winter so I’m pretty excited.

My pekins were the only ones who laid through the winter. My runners have started back up the last couple weeks so that was exciting! Spring is definitely moving closer.

Definnitely my mallards laying! Went out and saw one come out of the coop (everyone else already outside) and a freshly still warm little green egg waiting for me. I do love their little green eggs, so pretty.

Mine started laying in December up until this week & they stopped! Hello it’s spring?! WTH ducks?

Of course it’s right after I post an ad to sell hatching eggs. Ugh
