Mallards finally resumed laying! Maybe spring is approaching!

Spring has sprung in SW WI!! The girls were on winter break since mid Dec. and started up last week. I have even sold my 1st dozen eggs of the year with 2 more dozen spoken for by Fri. We have between 4-6 eggs/day. 1 Pekin, 1 Muscovy, 3 Khaki's, 2 Welsh Harlequins.

And we have EGGS! Bring on spring! Even though it’s snowing here right now 🤬

I’ve been waiting on my khaki campbell to start laying. I’ve been noticing her hanging out by some bushes EVERY morning, so I run out and check once she leaves and nothing, until this morning, she’s laying now :woot

Moved the egg to the coop cause I don’t want her laying them there. Especially if she’s gonna go broody, which I think she is. She seems to have dug a nest under the bush should I also fill it in to try to get her to quit laying there? She will have ZERO protection if she decides to have her nest there.
