The coop is one 1/2 of a shed, with a wooden floor, and quite dry. I think, baded on what I am reading, that the work I need to do there is manage the ventilation for drafts. Outside, it is Willamette weather-wet, soggy, dank. I just went out during a break in the rain and put visqueen over the 4' by 8' shelter I put up just out side the coop door temporarily for the chickens. I am still deciding on how I want to install a more permanent, and larger, covered area. Thanks for the suggestion. I am squirreling all of this away. Next coop will be elevated, I am pretty sure.
