I have a hen with bumble foot, I was able to get the scab and first core out but not the second by soaking in epsom salt water to soften and pulled it out. I have been treating with drawing salve and soaking for about a week. The redness has gone away and some of the swelling. She does not limp any longer. I do not know if this second core will be absorbed or will cause problems if not removed. I was wondering if anyone has used Manuka or Medihoney to treat bumble foot and what the results were. She tolerates the treatments well and seems to enjoy being a "house chicken" LOL.
