Massacre in duck yard

Not such a good day today. Went to check on the ducks this morning and found 2 Raven's and 2 of my ducks dead and 1 missing, 2 more wounded and 2 visibly shaken.

Do I need to worry about momma duck grieving over the loss of Mr. Rubber Ducky? Or is that just a human thing?

That is awful......Ravens killed my friends Ducks last spring also........Cover your run.......Ravens are smart and will be back for the rest........She will mourn a few days.......

Oh boy that's terrible. So sorry.

Crows are smaller than Ravens.....Not as aggressive either..........Ravens are buggers and will kill puppies left outside also.....

Ravens are larger than a Good sized Brahma Rooster........I also have Magpies and Crows that chase the Ravens away....The Crows have migrated but the Magpies are still here all year......I do not know Buzzards.....They are further South.....

I have heard of Magpies killing goslings. Thankfully we don't have them either. Crows are here year round too. They alert everyone to any hawks in the area. I had no idea Ravens were that large, I have a Brahma Hen and she is a pretty big girl.

Buzzards are the road kill experts. They clean up.

Are Raven same as Crows or from the same family we don't have ravens but we have lots of Crows. I know they will take young but never heard of them attacking and killing adult ducks.

These Raven's are HUGE. I am going to try and get them in the morning

It is illegal to shoot a Raven.........
