I thought once they've started zipping it's fairly quick? I waited it out and this one has just managed to poke her beak in and continue unzipping again.

I didn’t happen to keep you guys up-to-date on how many quail eggs I still had, did I? I think I had three in a staggered hatch, but it might have been four. I started with six for the first hatch, but I can’t remember if I tossed one or two. The chicks have moved the newer eggs around too much.

Day 20 - 1 hatched, a few internally pipped and no other external pips.

I obviously can’t know what the broodies are laying on. I’m assuming their chicks are hatched, or about to.

Today is hatch day. We had movement at lockdown but nobody pipping yet. Getting a little antsy
