Start here, so at least you know what you are talkign about when you go to the Ag office.

Pricing is HIGHLY local. You need to do some exploring, and keep an eye out for any value-added/price premiums for free range, non-GMO, organic, etc - they may not be worth chasing, and they may reduce your pool of potential buyers - but there is no substitute for boots on the ground market research. MUCH more valuable than anonymous internet opinions.
