Metal Kennel Roof?

So who uses metal roofing for their kennel run and how do you attach it? I was able to buy hardly used kennel panels of the C List this past weekend for a couple of hundred bucks. They're the prime ones, wire, not chain link and the same set new would have run 3-4 times what I paid. The guy was just looking to get rid of them and it makes a 10x10 pen . I've seen some websites that sell metal dog kennel roof kits where they sell crossbars, self tapping screws and the metal panels for about $250 for a 10x10 roof minus shipping? Is that my best bet or should I just buy that stuff on my own and give it a whirl? Ha!
