Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Got the coop bedding changed out today....so Warm out!
Found a trick to the 'hot lava' syndrome...
...I sift out some out of old shavings and spread them over the new ones,
and then shake the treat bottle to get them inside for tossed BOSS.

I think my ducks are broken or they have a goat syndrome. Watched them today play and the like to bump heads, lol Tomorrow might be the last warm day like above 60. Had to change the automatic door of the ducks for a smaller one that I know for sure will work. They will have to go in and out one at a time!
Did some laundry yesterday and tomorrow will do the bedding to get the last on the line, lol

I'm moving to the Coleman area in Michigan soon and I'm wondering if anyone keeps chickens around there. I have 20 acres, so space isn't really an issue and it's not right in town. Just don't want to set everything up and get in trouble.. The land is zoned RF (residential farming).

Welcome!
We are south of you, but not all that far away. You do need to find out exactly what the regulations in your township are before doing anything: exactly what critters can you have, setbacks for structures, fencing, just everything. Having to rebuild wouldn't be fun!
And meet the neighbors, find out what they are doing and have.
Mary
