How is the chick?

Amazingly it survived the night. I was up at 6 this morning to check because I was concerned of exactly what has been written here. Momma hopped up when she heard me and went outside, but was confused about what to do because all her babies didn’t follow her. I’ll have to keep a very close eye on her today.

I ended up shutting the door of the coop with mum and babies inside and added food and water, so mum didn’t really have any other choice to make. That seems to have worked. Beautiful little baby and she’s doing so well.
