My hen is losing feathers and i thought she was too young to molt. A few weeks ago she had clear\white poo, was drinking a ton of water and losing feathers.
She was treated with corid and for worms. Poo has been normal for a few weeks now and feather loss stopped. I thought all was well again. The last few days feather loss started again. Everytime she flaps her wings small feathers come out along with some tail feathers. She is an ameracauna with a pretty beard but is starting to look very scruffy. My Wyandotte is also losing feathers, not as many though. They are the same age. Both have stopped laying eggs. My RIR is not losing feathers and is still giving me 6 eggs a week. Could this be molt? They were born mid March and i heard pullets that go through a full spring can have a molt the first year? If not molt what else?
