2 months old, so still early, I just am curious to see what you think.

A. Suspected roo #1. Comb was tiny until this week

B. Suspected pullet #1, I'm hoping that long tail is a mosaic trait

C. Unsure but leaning towards roo #2. I think this one is a welsummer x mosaic based on the egg it hatched from. Hoping the bigger comb than the other white one is a welsummer trait

Gosh they are pretty! I have a 1 month old ee×Mosaic mix as well! It's cool to see someone else with that mix too. Did your Mosaic hens have pointy tail feathers? Screenshot_20230717-150642.png

@Katakornchicks Thank you! They're a fun mix, I got them on a whim from a lady in Sacramento while I was on a trip and I'm so glad I did. Yes the hens all had ridiculously long pointy tails at various stages in growing up, so pretty but it stressed me out lol and I suspected they were all roos at some points. Particularly the blackish one. But the only rooster ended up having a stubby tail at that age, and his comb was quite evident. Your chick's comb looks just like my girls did at that age, bet it's a pullet

Here's my blackish hen on the left with a long (but not quite as pointy) tail, at 1.5 months, and the roo with his short tail

That's good to know! That makes me feel better lol. I always thought she was a girl until she started to get the pointy tail and it made me nervous lol.
