Moving Chicks into the coop.

I have 32 Rhode Island Reds that have been laying for about a year. I also have 26 Barred Rock that are 15 weeks old. the Barred Rocks have been in the same coop, divided by chicken wire. The rocks are as big if not bigger than the reds and need to be moved in the area with the Reds. They are running out of room!! We are concerned about the feed. Can we start the rocks on the layer feed at 15 weeks?

They should be fine, I started my polish bantams on layer pellets at 10-12 weeks and they are strong and healthy.
