my mom BARELY made it back today from anchorage. she arrive around 1. she brought live crickets for the chickens! they loved it!

i don't think it's that bad, im just glad she made it home. i think it's exciting! i wish i could go see it but it's pretty dangerous to fly near volcanoes. the ash can really jack up a small craft, not to metnion your lungs!
volcanic ash is made of silica, and it would be like breathing in glass dust. that stuff will tear up your lungs!

I fished there 2 years ago with a family that had a place on Hariet creek. Redoubt was right behind us. It was beautiful. I am waiting on a phone call to see if their camp is still there. They had built 3 beautiful cabns there. I hope everything is okay with them.

I lived there about 5 years when I was a kid when they had the military base by Anchorage,is it still there?
Then we moved to Texas...

He was on his way TO Alaska.... but now I am wondering if he's going to be able to go.

When I was there a couple of years ago they had jusy received the new fighter jets. YF22. We were fishing the creek where they were coming in and landing. It was incredible. Alaska is a total blast.
