For this first half of the swap we will be making a mug rug of your choice, so you are the artist. A mug rug usually accommodates a mug and a cake or cookies. A mug rug is a mini quilt varying in size from 4” x 7” to as large as 12” x 8". I would encourage you to try and stay away from "Holiday" themes as most of us would like to see and use our MR's everyday of the year and not just for one specific day. You will be randomly assigned a recipient of your MR. It's a secrete don't tell who you have. When the time comes you will be given the address of your MRer. If you are given a person that is across the seas and you have never shipped overseas please let me know and I will walk you through the customs forms via PM. If you do not want to ship over seas please let me know via PM. Need MR ideas Craftsy.com is a good one to use just put mug rug in the search bar and be amazed at the ideas, this is just to get the juices flowing you DO NOT HAVE TO USE THIS SITE, be creative design your own unique MR. Or just try a new technique one MR swap I did a tiny patchwork quilt so the ideas are endless. Remember when you sign up you are being assigned a person and that is a commitment so please do your best to complete the MR swap. If you have problems that are just getting in the way please let me know. ASAP. Fenrosie will be the one assigning our swap partners so look for a PM from her. The person receiving the MR will be the one to post the picture and who it is from.

When signing up please post your likes/dislikes color preferences etc just to help your swapper.

Due date for the MR's will be the week of May 15th-19th, that means your MR has to be mailed no later than that week, earlier is great!!! Due date has been moved to the week of June 5th so you will have to mail your MR's June 5-9th

Now the second half of this Challenge is:

You need to complete a quilt top from some of the blocks from past swaps or finish one of your long forgotten projects or a new project it's up to you. This due date will be July 22nd.
remember to post pictures we love pictures.

You do not have to do both parts of this challenge to be apart of the challenge. But more the merrier. I think I will supply a prize to the one who completes the most tops.

So let the quilting begin!!!

my MR is here and it's from Paulsmuffen, I love it thank you so much. My DH brought me home some doughnuts tonight too, so funny but Paulsmuffen's are calorie free. He had no idea that I had gotten my MR.

All 8 of these blocks are the same pattern just different fabrics and some pieces are sub-divided.

I'm also still working on the BH mystery this year En Provence (I'm calling mine E P de' Nior). I did mine in a different color, and changed a couple of the units, like from a 4 patch to a square in a square. This is the latest pic I have, but I have finished it to the binding stage, but won't be able to do the binding until next week after the dr clears me for bending and lifting. As usual I am assembling and quilting using QAYG.

OOOps since my En Provence isn't finished I forgot I don't have pics of it on FB oh well for now here are pics of last years mystery Alltierre (I never can remember how to spell that one) I only changed to colors on that one (and no wavy border)

I included a close up pic of the binding b/c it was the best binding I've ever done, and all by machine, no hand sewing.
