If they have all their feather, and protection from predators, now would be ok.

I've always waited until 4 to 5 weeks. The first couple of times I let them out i watch to see how they react to everything. Are you talking about out as in free range or a fenced yard or run? Before too long you will have to clip their wing to keep them from flying over the fence if in a run. Once you have one get out they will all learn REALLY quick. Thats about 15 weeks or so. If you are talking about free range, I can't give you an honest answer.

I free ranged mine at 4 wks., but they were in the same yard as my older hens. They still don't range together much but they have adapted well and its very comical to see these little Mini-Mees running around and scratching like the big ladies! They are already very tuned in to the rooster's alarm call and run like lightening for shelter when they hear it.
