my baby chick has a growth on its head

I have a baby chicken and its has sand fleas. i was taking them off its head and now it has developed a growth on the left side of the head which has come down to its eye,its eye is closed due to the growth. what can i use to help my baby? please help.

Can you post a picture? Is there swelling due to the bite, or do you think it has abscessed? Have you tried to treat the grown hens with permethrin? For a baby chick, it may be wise to try and remove them by hand. I would try some Terramycin eye ointment, Vetericyn, Eye Gel, or plain Neosporin ointment in the eye to help prevent infection.
