Ok.. So my chick, Chicken Tender Nike has an interesting story to her existence. First we have no clue out of five birds who her mommy and daddy are. It could be one of these two mommy's, Icicle Frost who hatched her. She is a light Sussex, or Ursla Seashell my white leghorn. As for the daddy it could be 1. My Ayama Cemani mix, Trouble Maker Pain In My Butt, or Friday Wednesday my EE mix, or lastly Elvis my Barred Rock. Now not only do we not know who her parents are. She also impaled her crop to the point all her food and water fell out right after she consumed it. So we had no other choice but to Super Glue it close. Which our aviation vet said that was exactly what he would have done, as they would not have been able to stitch it where she cut it at. So its been about a week and a half and her croup is close and is almost healed. Now comes my conundrum.... I thought that Elvis, my Barred Rock was her daddy, as she, Chicken Tender has orangish colored legs like Elvis. However, I've noticed she actually has two colors of legs. They are orange with black markings in the front of her legs. Has anyone ever seen legs like this, can this define who mommy and daddy are? Any help would be great!!

Leg color doesn't mean much other than it being unlikely that a purebred Sussex hen would have yellow legged offspring. The genes for white skin/legs are usually dominant over yellow skin genes.

I wouldn't think the barred rock is the father, because if he is purebred he should be double barred, meaning he would always have barred offspring. I single barred, mixed breed rooster could have a black chick, though.

Elvis looks like a pure barred rock. If he is, then all of his chicks would be barred as well. So I think one of the other roosters is the dad. Mom could be either.
My question is how does a black legged or white legged Roo create a yellowish oranges legged chick? Both possible moms have white legs

Can we have pictures of all potential parents? I think the chick appears to have a modified pea comb, eliminating both parents having single combs. Its mother is likely the Easter Egger mix from what I understand the parents could be

Here are the possible parents
Icicle Frost my Light Sussex Mix, Ursula Seashell was her coop sister my white Leghorn Mix who laid her eggs in the same clutch as Icicle laid hers. Icicle Frost Hatched Chicken Tender, Friday Wednesday thinks he's daddy he's the white EE, I think Elvis my Barred Rock daddy, as baby and him have the same color legs. Yellowish, where as the other two have black or white legs. 3 possible daddy is My Ayam Cemani Mix Trouble Maker Pain In My Butt. So those are all the possible parents
