My chickens have only eaten frozen fruit today and nothing else, will they be ok?

Today was my 8, 13 week old chicks first ever very hot day infact today was the hottest it has ever been where I live in 50 years and the temp was around 90 degrees, normally it dosnt go over 75 degrees so it has been a rough day for them and they have lost their appetite for their real food bc of the heat and the only thing they wanted to eat was frozen fruit such as strawberry,banana and blueberries and they have gotten a lot of it to keep them hydrated and from overheating so will they be okay after they have eaten all that fruit??

I would say around 700 grams or 1,5 pounds so quite a lot, but it was the only thing they wanted to eat

That’s probably enough fruit. I don’t think they’ll get sick, but their poop may look a little funny. You can try giving them just ice to peck at instead of fruit.

If they’re uninterested you could try freezing grass. Idk.

I freeze a little bit of bird seed chicken treat in an old sour cream or yogurt container with water and its like a seed ice block that isnt a big sugar bomb.

I have never thought about that but mabye that not that bad of a idea

They may have very runny poop after all that sugar. Sometimes, just adding water to their pellets/crumble makes it a treat.
