My day old chick is picking at the other hatchling

Iam on day 20 and have 2 chicks that arr a day old already. But the one that hatched first is picking at the other little one and its going right for the little ones eyes, it seemed to have irritated the eye and was doing damage so i reluctantly took them out of the incubator nd into the brooder, but the picking persists and its bad so i separarated them by a divider in their cage do u think they will be ok by themselves or should i just leave them together and hope the little one will be ok? Can it accually put its eye out? Its so much stronger than the other one so im worried..

I would separate them. Try to use something that keeps them apart but able to see each other... hardware cloth...

That is exactly what i did but iam worried about the smaller one now its vey weak and i have been giving it sugar water but its not helping much. It wants to drink but it doesnt have enought strength to find the waterer so i have been manually feeding it water,i dont know if its going to make it.
