My new big run!!!! (pic heavy)

All right, I got my chicks last september (2), and built my coop in a weekend. Well, I realized that the 5x3 run was WAY too small.

Here was the run/coop that i built (the pic makes it look bigger than it really was)

So I found some used fencing, and was planning to burn it on the bonfire, for my Dad's Birthday party, But decided that would be a waste of perfectly good wood. Anyway, I detached the coop from the old run and started puting up the fencing.

Here it is!!!!!

I put the harware cloth from my old run utop this old fence to highten it, so my the chickens wont be able to fly over it. (we tested this)

We put some welded wire 8 inches into the ground to prevent digging predators.

OMGosh...that little black hen is adorable!!! I know they will enjoy their new space.
I will add that it doesn't look like you have a door that can be closed on your pop door. If that's the case I would add one. Your old run was covered, so they had a level of security. But your new spacious run is not, so anything could climb over and inside. Of course you may have already addressed that issue.
