My new brooder (homemade)

I thought everyone would be pointing out what was wrong with the thing, lol. I am glad the response has been so positive. It is a simple design, would be great for the wood and nails haters. (I have a tablesaw and several woodworking things, but just wanted something easy to clean, move, access, and escape proof. )
The pools were $7 each
Wire was $4 for the roll (small roll)
I already had the lamps,but if you have a brooder, you know how much they are. I used the wire I use for jewelry wrapping to secure each end together, slightly overlapping for stability.

I recvd' a couple of p.m.'s asking. Just putting it here now for everyone else.

Very cool! I've done the same thing but not with a pool on top. Can you take a picture of the top better? I want to see how you did the hole through it for the light.

Super cool idea! And I was after a old play pen for brooding, hmmm a kiddie pool is a great idea!!!
