My rooster bit me?

What kind of roos do you have. I have RIR but need more hens want to sell eggs if I need a different breed so my grandson can go in I would get a different breed. I think it's good for him to have chores he is 4 but needs to learn to take care of his critters. He loves feeding and collecting eggs.

Human aggressive roosters need to be someone's dinner, and not reproduce their behavior. Move on and get some chicks to raise, and pick a couple of polite cockrels to raise, so the best one can be flock rooster next year. Some breeds and strains produce a higher % of nice cocks, so if you're not committed to RIRs, get other breed chicks. Mary

Thanks, everyone! He hasn't come at me since, so we're keeping him for now. Next time he attacks he will be replaced. I know he will but as long as he behaves himself, he can stay. I guess I'm just overly attached to him
