Hello everyone, my silkie rooster is sick but I don't know what he has. His eyes are bubbly, yellow snot on his nose, and his face seems to be more puffy than normal. He's also a bearded silkie so I'm not sure how he has "lost" his beard. I've also been putting vitamins and electrolytes in their water. Does anyone know what this is and how to best treat it? Thanks!

Looks like he's suffering from respiratory illness.

Bubbles in the eyes often indicate Mycoplasma.
Rinse the eyes with saline and apply a dot of Terramcyin eye ointment in the eyes at least once daily. Work on keeping his nostrils cleared.

Tylosin/Tylan can be used to help treat symptoms as well. You may be able to find Tylan50 at your TSC, if not, you'll need to order online.

Does coconut oil work too? I've used it before on him and he will look better then but the next day back right where he was. I'll look into Tylan 50, thanks!
