My rooster's crow sounds more like a howl?

He is quite young, although I am not sure how long ago he started crowing, but it sounds kinda like a distant dog howling. He is a Silkie rooster. Will it likely get better into a proper sounding crow over the next few weeks?

Yup.. The first time a roo crows it really sounds funny. They soon get there pipes with some practice. I thought that ours sounded kinda like a muffled trumpet.

He's gotten better now, sounds more like a rooster and less of a dog
