I have a Cock that came from a Naked Neck Mom & a Silkie Dad. He was born with neck feathers instead of without. If I bred him to a Silkie Hen, would any of the chicks from that be born without neck feathers or would all of those chicks have neck feathers like him? Pic is of him:

They'll all have neck feathers. Odds are Mom had a bib (Nn) instead of a bowtie (NN), which means half her chicks would have a naked gene and half wouldn't. If they don't show it, they don't have the gene
Ok. I didn’t know there was a bib vs bow tie on the Naked Neck. Can you tell me what the difference between the 2 is? Attaching a picture of the NN Hen. She has what’s called a bib?

Bibs are that nice, pretty little tuft on the neck. They're Nn, so one naked gene and one normal gene.

Bowties are when they've got two or four feathers and those don't look quite as pretty. I'll show a picture of one of my past boys that has a bowtie. They have two naked genes, so NN.

He's young in this picture, but that's as many feathers as he ever got on his neck. Not a pretty clump like bibs are

Well, I see what you mean now. I did not know there was a bib or bow tie or neither. Everything I’ve read on the internet just showed the clump of feathers on the neck and called that a bow tie. Learn something new every day! Thank you so much for this information!

I didn't either a couple years ago. I thought that the nice looking bib was what you wanted for breeding, and that you wanted to avoid bowties. Imagine my surprise when I started getting normal necks

😂😂 I can imagine! But I’m guessing in my case, where I’m using my “bibbed” Naked Neck Hen for my ShowGirl project, I want the bib instead of the bow tie. Because I don’t desire to have the Strippers. I’ve got 3 females so far from my first cross. So I can stop hatching chicks from that and continue with my second cross.
Thank you again!!

So there are 4 ways you can continue making showgirls once you have at least 1 (or a stripper) instead). I'll break it down below as if you hatched 100 eggs from each pair.

ShowgirlXShowgirl:
25 nn
50 Nn
25 NN

ShowgirlXStripper:
50 Nn
50 NN

SilkieXShowgirl:
50 nn
50 Nn

StripperXSilkie:
100 Nn

Reminder:
NN-Bowtie
Nn-Bib
nn-Normal

NN= clean neck
Nn= bowtie
nn= fully feathered neck

NN x NN = 100% NN
NN x Nn = 50% NN, 50% Nn
NN x nn = 100% Nn
Nn x Nn = 25% NN, 50% Nn, 25% nn
Nn x nn = 50% Nn, 50% nn

I had a boy that was a feathered neck, and smooth feathers, but he came from frizzle, NN background. All his babies were smooth, (7 BCM eggs, 3 NN eggs), and only one of the NN eggs of his hatched a NN.
