Hi! I'm trying help some elementary school teachers out with a chick that hatched with a slipped tendon. It had been hopping around on one foot for a WEEK before I took possession of it. I haven't been able to "roll" the tendon like I've read, I'm assuming it's bc it has gone untreated for too long. My question is, what can I do? I have casted the leg with a smoothie straw as they are bigger and I have it in a hammock with both legs suspended. I'm working on stretching the leg as much as I can throughout the day. Am I wasting my efforts? I'll attach some pics.
First is a sore - it feels like a bone in that area.
Second is me doing stretches.
Third is the "cast".
Fourth is the leg from the back
I'm going to have the teachers buy some vitamin B for me to give, as I've read it can help if there's a deficiency. I'm also going to give nutri-dench. I hope I can get it walking somewhat normal but it feels like it's going to be exhaustive.
