Need help with button quail chicks

That sounds like disease to me, but let me ask some questions.
What are you feeding them?
How old are they?
What is the temperature in their brooder?
Do they have a warm end and a cool end?
How closely related were their parents?
What does their poop look like?
Pictures?
I'm feeding them Purina game bird 30% protein starter crumble and I was told to grind it to a powder so they didn't choke on the big pieces of crumble.

They were hatched on 12/17/22 (5 days old)

The heat end is 98.2 at the moment. Cool end is 74.3

Yes.

I don't know their parents. I purchased the eggs online from purely poultry.

Here's a picture of their poop.

How friendly are your chicks? Button quail are known to be very skittish if they are not tamed as babies. My adult buttons will eat from my hand but they freak out if I try to touch them.

I'm not seeing anything wrong with your setup or feed. Are any of the white ones albinos? Can you post a close pic of one of the white ones?

I would say it is a bit warm (but not enough to do harm) at the hot end, but since you have a cool end, heat is unlikely to be the issue.

I would say disease except that it's only the white ones. I'm leaning towards something genetic at this point, but you may consider sending one of the dead ones to a local necropsy lab for cause of death.
