New chick!!!!

One of my chicks has hatched. I have 6 others, 2 of which have piped. How long do I leave the just hatched one in the incubator? Do I take him out before all have hatched or do I take it out when dried?

When dried. Put it in a brooder with the temp at 95 degrees F. Congrats!

What if they hatch while I'm asleep or at work?

They will be fine, I have one hatch last night, still in bator waiting for others to hatch. I don’t want to open to take her out until another one hatches so the humidity is high and it won’t hurt to open for a second. Congratulations on your baby, and good luck with the rest of your hatch. What breed are you hatching? I’ve got Sizzles hatching

When I woke up this morning I had 3 more chicks, 2 black (a black was the first) and 2 yellow colored. I'm not sure what I'll end up with but I have a Buff Orpington Rooster and 1 Buff, 1 Rhode Island, 2 Silver-laced Wyandotte's, 1 Black Concord, and 2 White Leghorn hens so they are anybody's guess.
