New chicks... oh boy, here I go again

It's been a few years since I've had egg layers. Just got some chicks before Easter. Nothing extraordinary, just 6 golden comets. Oh lordy, one is clearly not a golden comet. It's white and I'm not sure if the comb on top is developing larger because it's a different breed or if I have a rooster on my hands. Now keeping with the politically correct sensitive individuals, if it is a rooster and 'identifies' as a hen...try as he may, he STILL won't lay eggs for me!

Hello and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. It seems like one of your flock may be heading for Mr Crockpot at some time or other i guess?

You can always post on the "what breed or gender is this?" when he / she is six weeks old.
