I have my walls up and now I am trying to figure out how to build the roof. Having never done this before, I was wondering if I could get some ideas from you. I was going to do a 4/12 pitch roof with 2x4"s and a 6 inch overhang on each side. Do I just put plywood or OSB up to connect the 2x4's or do I use some 1x4's? How thick of OSB or plywood? I was going to space the 2x4's 2 feet apart, is that too much? I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

You can make a 4/12 pitch shed style pretty easy but, your front side would need to be taller. As you can see in this pic I only have over hang on front and rear low side. Boards where added for the over hang. I built this one walls and roof - like stud wall frame which made putting it together easy. Roof frame was just slid up from truck by two people and screws to walls. 1/2" OSB is fine for a roof -nailed or screwed into boards - use plywood clips for the OSB joints. More pics are on my profile.
