(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
As the ones that feed/water/care for them? Yes. New to chickens. However, my parents currently have lots and have for a few years, and we raised a few when I was 5 or 6 years old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have a mere 8. (2 ducks too!)

3 ISA

2 Silkie Bantams
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
It’s been really fun to see how attached we get to them. How special they are. I also love seeing how they each have their own personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love sewing & quilting, baking, gardening, hiking, camping, woodworking, and spending time with my family.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m the wife to a Navy veteran, stay-at-home-mom, I do a little graphic/digital design on the side. I’m the mama to 4 little munchkins: 13 & 11 year old boys and 9 & 5 year old girls. Also the mama of 2 mastiff/lab mixes and one snuggly indoor cat.

I’ve seen things off and on on Pinterest. Also on Reddit. So, after some brief lurking, here I am!
