Hackettstown nj has a live auction every tuesdsy starting at 10 am. Chickens, quail, rabbits, large farm animals. Most folks buy for food. Some buy to save the animals from slaughter

There is a guy around the corner from me that sells chuckars, they look like yours . He is on rt 519 in wantage on Plumbsock Farm

Would he be willing to sell one or two to me ? Can you ask ? I know some people don’t want to sell them not in large quantities

Be careful buying birds at auction. Some people will pass off sick birds for healthy ones.

You’ll have to look into Rockport pheasant farm. They have sold pheasants in the past when they had a surplus but I think they had to be bought in big numbers.

Sorry to tell you, that pheasant farm has closed, family retired it. I live a hop skip n jump from it. Couple years ago a big storm wrecked the fence runs and there were pheasants everywhere, you almost couldn't drive without hitting them. Several families had some very tasty sunday dinners. Thanks. I didn’t know that. I don’t pheasant hunt so I haven’t kept track. I bet that was a real mess. I live in Salem county so I haven’t been up that way in awhile.

He still has pheasants sometimes, ilive up the road from him and he had some not too long ago. He fixed the netting but doesnt keep any during the winter. They are more ring necks.
Ther is another place across from beemer church rd and 565, go across beemer church rd at 565 there is a private hunting place up that rosd on the left..
